This trip ,part of the orientation week, aimed to help Erasmus students explore Turkey's historical and cultural heritage, enhance cultural awareness, and foster social bonds. Despite the cold weather, the event promoted intercultural exchange and made learning enjoyable.
The day of the Phrygian Valley trip was cold and snowy, but that didn’t dampen the excitement. We gathered early in front of the Student Center, ready for an adventure. As we explored the ancient ruins of Midas City, the snow-covered landscape added a magical touch to the experience, making it feel like we were walking through a winter wonderland.
Despite the chilly weather, the group’s energy stayed high, especially when we stopped to enjoy some warm, traditional Hıçın böreği. It was the perfect way to refuel before continuing our journey to visit Ariastis Monument, Gerdek Kaya, and Seyitgazi Tomb.
The day was filled with laughter, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation for Turkey’s cultural heritage. Although we were tired by the end of the trip, everyone had a great time, with many memorable moments to take away from the experience.
